The Location - Panarea is situated right on Wanda beach and delivers lovely sunrises. Soldiers Point is definitely for those who are looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Located at the most western tip of the Tomaree Peninsula, Soldiers Point is almost entirely surrounded by the port making it a popular location for fishing and boating. Soldiers Point Marina (2.4km away) offers state-of-the-art mooring facilities and two fine dining restaurants plus cafes. Opposite the Marina is a public park with a playground and tennis courts, which are available for hire all year round. The exclusive Rick Stein Restaurant at the Bannisters Resort is just 800 metres away and opposite Bannisters is the Soliders Point Bowling Club which offers more affordable meals. Little Salamander shops is only 500m and for more selection visit the Salamander Shopping Centre which is just 4.8km away and Nelson Bay is 9km's from the apartment.

The Apartment - 1/197 Soldiers Point Road is on the ground floor, looking straight out to the harbour, with the water just steps away. The outdoor area is set up with couches and sun beds, plus a gas BBQ, leading in to light filled, open plan living with expansive water views, ducted air conditioning, and a Smart TV. The dining area is off the gourmet kitchen complete with Nespresso coffee machine (BYO pods), Microwave, dishwasher, oven and a full fridge. The master bedroom has a queen bed, wall mounted TV and ensuite bathroom, the second bedroom has a queen bed and the third has two sets of bunk beds. There is a spacious bath (spa currently unavailable, sorry for the inconvenience) and shower in the main bathroom and also a separate laundry with washer and dryer.

Off street parking for one car with additional street parking also available.

There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

    The apartment was lovely, though the outside could have done with a clean as there were leaves etc everywhere. It was waterfront, but the beach had so much seaweed in the sand and at the waters edge it was difficult to swim. The position was good....just a short walk to a little shopping village that had everything you could need. Also bannisters down the road and The Point restaurant a short drive away. A nice place for couples wanting a quiet get away.

    Wonderful location. Need to be mindful if you can not cope with steep set of stairs to ground floor apartment. Comfortable layout with views from living areas and kitchens but not bedrooms. Interior very clean. Lacked some items in the kitchen. Some furnishing in need of replacement.

    We encountered a significant number of avoidable problems which impacted our stay. The most problematic was the condition of the double garage. I was unable to put my car into the garage upon arrival - I had to unpack in the rain negotiating those steep steps was quite dangerous. I eventually manhandled all of the equipment (junk) to one side allowing enough space to park one modest sized car. The kitchen was not well cleaned and the internet was unavailable initially. We had a complete blackout on Sunday evening with no assistance available. A number of other issues were resolved with staff at the office. These problems were not major but they detracted from a truly beautiful location.

    The house was very nice and location was perfect. However the couches were very dusty/dirty and uncomfortable to sit on as the cushions kept slipping off
    Coffee machine didn't work.
    The floors & outdoor area could have been cleaner & there was a cockroach in the kitchen
