Bay Parklands, Unit 38/2 Gowrie Avenue

The Location - This great unit is situated in one of the most popular complexes. It is right across the road from one of the best family beaches with children's playground, picnic area, toilet amenities and a boat ramp. The complex itself boasts its own tennis court with night light for those that enjoy a spot of night time tennis (bring your own racquet and balls). It also offers its tenants a large, secured communal lock up garage as well as roof top outdoor parking. It is 5 minutes drive to Nelson Bay CBD and all its facilities as well as being within walking distance to two other local beaches. There are no stairs. Garage dimensions: Depth - 5.5m, Height - 2.05m

The Unit - Comfortable two bedroom unit in Grevillia block - nice and quiet. Unit opens onto grassed area for a lovely outlook and has ceiling fan in the living area. Neat fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave.

Modern bathroom. Air conditioned in the living room the unit is tiled throughout with carpeted bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and an ensuite with the second bedroom offering a tri-bunk and a single bed. This unit also has some outdoor furniture for you to enjoy the beautiful surrounds.

The complex's pool and spa facilities are currently closed due to COVID-19. We do not advertise the pool and spa on our listing for this reason.

There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

  Our stay at Bay Parklands, 38/2 Gowrie Avenue in the January holidays 2021 was excellent.
  The unit was very clean and tidy.
  Ground floor location with 3 kids in tow was perfect.
  We will defenitely be booking another stay sometime in the very near future.

  A holiday that made us sick. it appeared clean on arrival but had a strong smell. Opened up to get air in. That night i started scratching then coughing and wheezing. Next day WE had to strip the bed of all linen and vacuum it and the carpet in both bedrooms. it was disgusting the amount of dirt and fluff/mouldy smell! Complained at office in Nelsons bay. I had now had to have antihistamines and ventolin inhaler. my husband required antihistmaines.The cleaning crew that the office in nelsons bay sent out came with 3 microfibre clothes and window cleaner spray. they wiped surfaces. I am home and advised by dr to have a covid test and am on prednisone for the wheeze. the cleaners took away two mouldy basket cotton insets from the main bedroom saying"we can wash these' . they never returned them . we advised the staff at nelsons bay of all our concerns we have been advised to compile all photos and send details to winning holidays. we are appalled that our unit was NOT cleaned before our arrival . under current covid regulations winning holidays have failed completly and left two people who just wanted a short holiday still unwell. i will never use winning holidays again and could not reccomend them to friends. A very dirty unit that caused us stress and sickness.chris mick Linder .

  went to pick keys, was 15 mins early even though this was not my hotel location, the lady asked me to come back after 2pm. when we did get the keys , we were not given any directions to our room ,car park & all the rest you need to know about the place . The location is not bad . place is a bit old for what we paid . Some of the dishes we picked up were not even washed or checked by cleaners . no paid tv , just TV & free channels

We send out a pre-arrival email states this information regarding location of key pick-up and arrival times. We will make sure housekeeping is notified in regards to the dishes issue. As for the paid TV issue, we have a facilities section on all our properties' descriptions when booking online, which outlines what the property does and doesn't feature. Please have a look at this next time before booking, as this property does not state it comes with paid TV. We appreciate the feedback given to us and we will attempt to improve upon our services.
