The Location - This property is located right across the road from the beautiful Shoal Bay Beach and reserve, with crystal clear waters and white sands. It is the perfect holiday destination for anyone looking for beauty, fun and relaxation. Shoal Bay beach offers great swimming and you can hire kayaks, stand up paddle boards (open everyday during the high seasons of school holidays, long weekends and Easter) and bicycles. On your door step you have the energetic atmosphere of Shoal Bay, where you will find a delicious selection of places to eat and drink along the waterfront. Continuing on to the eastern end of the bay is the magnificent Tomaree National Park with spectacular views from the top of Tomaree Mountain. Just a 5 minute drive in the opposite direction brings you to Nelson Bay.

The Unit - This two bedroom first floor unit is in the perfect spot to enjoy the magnificent views the area has to offer. The property consists of an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area, the lounge area consists of comfortable seating, flat screen TV and a large window that frames the fabulous views and a door that leads out to a small balcony with out door furnishings. The equipped kitchen comes with a dishwasher, oven, cook-top and fridge freezer.

The main bedroom also has access to this balcony and is fitted with a queen size bed, with the second bedroom offering a set of bunk beds and a single bed. The modern bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, vanity and toilet. Other features include an internal laundry with a washing machine and an under cover parking space for one car.

There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

  The apartment is right on a beach, minutes from Nelson Bay and other beach towns, and has a stunning view of Tomaree Mountain. Opening up the curtains in the morning with a cup of coffee is sublime, and exactly what we came for.
  
  But the bedrooms left plenty to be desired. Due to COVID (I presume) we were given non-fitted sheets in a plastic bag that we had to make ourselves after a long drive. And the mattresses in the second bedroom, especially the bunk, were very old and due a replacement. Fine for kids, adults would have trouble though.
  
  I’d definitely stay here again, because ultimately the view and location is excellent. Just would like some more care from property management.

On our property description, guidebook and pre arrival emails, we have outlined that while this property is given linen, if you would like beds made, this is an extra fee for this particular property. This is to make the property more affordable for our guests and not to increase the rates. We are sorry to hear about the mattresses and we will look into this matter with the owner.
