Bannisters Resort is also situated only 200m from the house, which offers three restaurants including the famous Rick Stein restaurant. For a more affordable option across the road is Soldiers Point Bowling Club. Continuing to the point of Soldiers Point via Bagnall Avenue is Pearson's Park. A lovely park with large shaded grass areas, picnic tables, BBQ, toilets, playground. At the Point is the Marina offering more restaurants, cafes, tennis courts, a playground and boat ramp. The Wanda shops is a short 1.2km away which offers a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants and further a field is the Salamander Shopping Centre 5km away. The main township of Nelson Bay is 8.5km from the holiday house.
The House -This generously proportioned waterfront four bedroom home is a natural entertainer, with an abundance of beautiful bright spaces as well as delightful ocean breezes, situated only steps to the water's edge and offering fantastic water views. The home has a warm and inviting feel and is tucked away from the street so its lovely and quiet inside. The entrance takes you down a drive way to a double carport, here you walk down to the house (the driveway also has room for a small boat).The home has an open plan dining and living area with large windows looking out to the Bay, the space offers a flat screen TV, electric heater for the cooler months and Wi-Fi. Step out onto the patio and capture the striking north-easterly views of the glistening ocean. The well equipped kitchen provides a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, oven/stove top and a Nespresso coffee machine (BYO pods). Opposite the kitchen is the laundry fitted with a washing machine and dryer.
Three of the bedrooms are positioned on the water's front, the main offers a queen size bed, ceiling fan, walk in robe and a private elevated balcony looking out to the Bay. Beyond the kitchen at the front of the house (street side) is another family room which leads out to a private courtyard with a grassed area, accompanied by outdoor furnishings and a gas BBQ. There are definitely smoke alarms at the property.
